Is SecurityElites really free?
Yes. All courses, tools, challenges, and gamification features are completely free. No credit card required. No hidden fees. We believe cybersecurity education should be accessible to everyone.
Do I need to create an account?
You can browse articles and use tools without an account. Creating a free account unlocks XP tracking, streaks, leaderboard rankings, daily challenges, missions, and all gamification features.
How do I report a security vulnerability?
Please email security@securityelites.com with details of the vulnerability. We take all reports seriously and will respond within 48 hours. Do not publicly disclose vulnerabilities before they are patched.
Can I use SE tools on any website?
Our tools (WHOIS, DNS, port scanner, etc.) should only be used on domains and systems you own or have explicit written authorization to test. Unauthorized scanning is illegal in most jurisdictions.
How does XP and the ranking system work?
You earn XP by reading articles, completing courses, solving daily challenges, and using tools. XP accumulates to increase your level and rank (from Script Kiddie to Cyber Legend). Streaks, missions, and achievements provide bonus XP and Elite Coins.
How do I reset my password?
Click "Log In" in the header, then click "Lost your password?" on the login page. Enter your email address and you'll receive a password reset link.
Can I contribute content or tools?
We welcome contributions! Email us at partners@securityelites.com with your proposal. We're especially interested in new challenge questions, tool ideas, and course content from experienced practitioners.
What is your response time?
We aim to respond to all inquiries within 24-48 hours. Security reports are prioritized and typically acknowledged within 12 hours.
